OCIA - Order of Christian Initiation of Adults

OCIA, formally called RCIA (The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults,) is a rite of the Roman Catholic Church through which unbaptized adults coming from non-Christian or backgrounds where they have practiced no faith tradition, non-Catholic Christians, who desire to become Catholic, are welcomed into Full Communion with the Catholic Church through RCIA.

OCIA is a process the follows the rhythms of the liturgical year with its culmination in the Easter Sacraments celebrated at the Easter Vigil. Those who are interested in learning more about the faith and are considering becoming a Catholic and those who are looking to learn more about their faith are welcome to attend. The process begins in the Fall of each year.
